Max Shephard is a Mississippi attorney and author whose influences include William Faulkner, Stephen King, and Ayn Rand. He is a frequent contributor to Reddit’s NoSleep forum under the username creeping_dread and is working on publishing his first novel, The Client, about a small-town attorney who gets more than he bargained for when he’s appointed to represent an alleged murderer. The villain from The Client, Lester Crowe, a mysterious drifter who just might be the Devil himself,shows up in a lot of Shephard’s work, which is starting to worry him.
