Karen Gunnarsdóttir is a multilingual Icelandic audio engineer and sound designer, currently living in her hometown in Iceland. Her complete resume, experience, qualifications, and portfolio can be found on her official website.

From a young age, Karen was drawn to music and sounds in general. As a result, she enrolled in a music school at the age of 8. After playing the clarinet for 12 years and experimenting with classical guitar, piano and saxophone, she passed final examination in classical singing in the spring of 2013 while enrolled at the Music School of Garðabær, Iceland.

Karen is a graduate from Nord University in Norway, with a Bachelor of Arts degree in multimedia technology, focusing on sound engineering. Her student production, “Nine Lives,” was a pilot episode for a horror/comedy podcast. Following her graduation, Karen has done freelance work for an Icelandic audiobook production company, as well as assisting in sound recording for commercials and a feature-length film. In addition to Icelandic and English, Karen also speaks Norwegian, Swedish and German.
